As a large company, Veidekke has a duty to show responsibility,
consideration and professionalism in every part of its operations, both
internally and towards it surroundings. Our commitment to social
responsibility is rooted in our basic values, and is linked up to our
vision, which focuses on people as the users of our buildings and structures.
As employer Veidekke has a special responsibility concerning working
environment, health and safety of its employees
TellHus is the name of Veidekke’s new climatesmart flats.This concept is based on energy-efficient designs that are easy to incorporate and do not affect the profitability of the projects.
Veidekke, The International Federation of Building and Wood Workers, The Norwegian United Federation of Trade Unions and The Norwegian Union of General Workers have signed an international framework agreement with the aim to secure trade union and social rights of employees working on Veidekke’s projects.
Veidekke is offering employees over 62 years of age six weeks’ extra holidays with pay if they continue to work full time.
Veidekke has established a programme for ethical guidelines and rules within the company. These are refocused and explained in a separate pamphlet.
StartBANK is a common platform for qualification arrangement for the construction industry. This is a result of the project "Seriousness in the Construction Industry" between The Federation of Norwegian Construction Industries, (BNL) and the authorities.
