On 6 February 1936, Veidekke was founded - a company constructing roads and laying cobblestone.

Just before the turn of the century, Veidekke ASA decided to concentrate its efforts in Scandinavia. We were ready for a larger part of the market and wanted to establish ourselves as a major Scandinavian contractor and property developer.
