“We have had a successful interaction phase with Avinor where we have developed the project together, and we are now looking forward to modernizing Flyporten so that it meets today's and tomorrow's standards and needs for the users of the building. We greatly appreciate the trust and the assignment,” says CEO Bjørn Ove Liavaag of Seby AS.
The Flyporten office building has been used for a long time, and aging and wear and tear have led to the need for a significant upgrade with the replacement of major technical installations including the ventilation system. In addition, the premises will be rebuilt and adapted to today's working methods with an open landscape designed for collaboration, communication and flexibility.
“Flyporten has served both us and our partners well for many years, and now the building is getting the long-awaited upgrade it deserves. The rehabilitation is an important part of our work to modernize and streamline our workplaces. We look forward to moving back to premises that even better facilitate a collaborative culture and the working methods of the future,” says Airport Director Thorgeir Landevaag.
The project includes the rehabilitation of the building's fourth, fifth and sixth floors, totaling 5,200 m2. Today, each floor has space for approximately 70 employees, while after the rehabilitation, the premises will have space for approximately 100 employees per floor.
Construction work has already started with completion planned for the third quarter of 2026.
The contract is included in Veidekke's order book for Q3 2025.
