The track renewal works will take place on segments of the Røros Line, the Dovre Line, the Gardermoen Line (Romeriksporten tunnel), the Upper Main Line and the Gjøvik Line. In total, the contract includes the replacement of 46 kilometres of tracks, the addition of approximately 90,000 tonnes of ballast, and the replacement of more than 75,000 railway sleepers.

Veidekke Bane was established in 1999 and performs renewal and maintenance of railways and tramways. The company operates nationwide, has an annual turnover of around NOK 600 million and employs 180 people with high-level expertise across all railway technical disciplines.
The planned construction period for the main part of the works is from early May to mid-September. The contract will be included in Veidekke’s order backlog for the first quarter of 2026.
