To build Mölnlycke’s new head office

Veidekke's subsidiary BRA has signed a contract to build the new head office of the medical technology company Mölnlycke in Mölndal, Sweden. The plans stipulate start of groundworks this autumn, and completion of the building for delivery in 2024. The project has a contract amount of approx. SEK 480 million.

“We are excited to be taking another big step towards realising our new world-class headquarters. The new head office will be built from scratch, entirely to our needs, and will include a first-class R&D facility, flexible collaboration areas and an excellent work environment,” says Zlatko Rihter, CEO of Mölnlycke, in a press release from GoCo Health Innovation City.

“GoCo Health Innovation City will be a fantastic new addition to Mölndal and to Gothenburg and its environs. We are proud to be part of this and to continue to be entrusted with contributing to the area’s development,” says Patrik Jansson of BRA Bygg.

The new building will comprise 16,000 square meters and accommodate approx. 800 employees. Inside, flexible office areas will house social meeting places and project work spaces. The outside of the building will be clad in natural materials and feature large glass surfaces. Mölnlycke's new headquarters is part of GoCo Health Innovation City, the emerging health innovation cluster in which BRA already completed the Fujirebio project and currently has the signature building GoCo House under construction.

The contract is included in the order book for the current quarter.
