Veidekke to build apartments for Urbanium in Oslo

Urbanium AS has chosen Veidekke Entreprenør to build 94 apartments in St Halvardsgate in the old town in Oslo. This will be a turnkey contract with a value of NOK 145 million excluding VAT.

Three buildings of five and six storeys will be built on the site at St Halvardsgate 20. The apartments will be from 45 m2 to 121 m2, and will all have their own balcony or private terrace. The project is centrally located in Oslo, in an established and pleasant residential area near Middelalderparken and Bjørvika. There will be parking spaces both outside and in a covered garage. The development will feature a secluded green area with the main entrances to all three buildings, as well as sunny common terrace areas on the roofs.

The assignment includes demolishing all existing building on the property, planning and building the 94 apartments and exterior areas, parking underground and at ground level, storerooms for the apartments in the basement and associated staircases and lifts.

Work will start next summer if sufficient apartments have been sold and it is planned to have the apartments ready to move into in spring 2014.
